Scientific and innovative activity

Purpose of scientific and innovative activity:

To address current scientific and innovative problems in the field of IT and ensure the implementation of the obtained results to improve the quality of the educational process, generate profit, and position the university among the leading IT universities.

Focus of scientific and innovative activity:

  • Formulating research topics in line with the current directions of fundamental and applied science development and the effective socio-economic development of Ukraine.
  • Promoting the formation and development of scientific schools, the establishment of research centers, and laboratories.
  • Creating and implementing new methods, tools, and technologies in the fields of computer science and engineering, artificial intelligence, information security, finance, banking, management, and digital marketing.

Areas of scientific and innovative activity:

1. International scientific cooperation: Participation in intergovernmental agreements and programs of scientific collaboration with global research centers, international organizations, funds, programs, and projects, including Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology, Creative Europe (CREA), Frontex Research Grants Programme, Innovation Fund, DTTI, CORDIS, DAAD, Humboldt
Research Fellowship, AIIA.
2. Scientific cooperation with IT enterprises, universities, and divisions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: Joint scientific laboratories and groups, contractual agreements, joint scientific conferences, and seminars.
3. Close collaboration with partners: SoftServe, ELEKS, Sigma Software, Avenga, Ubos, Epam, Lviv IT Cluster, JetSoftPro, Infineon, Polish Academy of Sciences, Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, Vilnius University, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Higher School of Education in Sports (Poland), Lviv City Council, National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic".
4. Student scientific and innovative activity: Involvement of students in scientific topics, participation in international scientific programs such as DAAD, Marie Curie Program, Visegrad Agreement, etc.
5. Scientific events: Organization of science days, scientific conferences, and seminars.
6. Training scientific personnel: Establishment of postgraduate and doctoral studies, specialized internships in leading scientific and educational institutions and firms.
7. Creation of a network of innovation structures: Research centers, scientific laboratories, creative teams, startups, etc.
